Living Options has been operational since October 1992.
It is a managed unit of
Scope.
It acts as a user-led community based service developed by disabled people.
Vision And Strapline
- To work with others to bring about a society in which people with disabilities
are full and equal citizens participating and contributing without discrimination.
- Disabled people looking into the future and tackling today the issues that concern
their lives tomorrow.
Aim and Objectives
- To enable disabled people to have the opportunities to become fully integrated
members of society.
- To enable disabled people to participate actively in work and activities of
Living Options as equals
- To provide disabled people, families, carers, professionals and other organisations
with current and relevant information on disability issues.
- To provide consultation focus for joint planning teams by enabling and empowering
disabled people through support and opportunities.
- To enable disabled people to identify unmet needs and shortfall in service provision
through process of consultation with each other and statutory services, and to develop
services to meet those needs.
- To provide work and life skills training, volunteer activities, and personal development
for disabled people.
